Lunar New Year Carnival

February 5, 8:45-11:00 AM

Our 2nd Annual Lunar New Year Carnival will be held on Wednesday, February 5, from 8:45 to 11:00 AM at Azevada. We'll have over 20 games and activities set up for the kids! Additionally, the celebration will conclude with an exciting lion dance! To make this event a success, we'll need about 90 parent volunteers over two shifts.

  • 8:30 - 9:30 (15 minutes to set up / 45 minutes to supervise games)
  • 9:30 - 10:30 (45 minutes to supervise games / 15 minutes to clean up).

School-Wide Food Packing Event

February 11, 8:00 am -12:00 pm

This is a huge school-wide and all of our K-6th grade students will be participating. To make this happen, we need a LOT of adult volunteers! (We need to have 40 or more adult volunteers to help with this event! If we not have enough adult volunteers, then we will have to cancel this event!)

If you are able to help us on this date, we ask that you be available for the entire events (8-12p). We also ask that all adults arrive to the Azevada MPR at 8am on the day of the event. Adult volunteers will be trained before the event begins with students.

Wednesday Printing Wizard

We’re looking for parent(s) to come help us print out flyers and distribute into each teacher’s box on Wednesdays for the Friday folders. This can be done during school hours (8am-4pm).

The safety of our children is everyone's duty. Volunteering to be a crossing guard is easy and fun! It's only 15 minutes before school or after school. No prior experience necessary!

Steps to start:

  1. Sign up which days of week, time, and intersection spots you’d like to cover on a WEEKLY basis by clicking here.
  2. Go to the AzevadaOffice to ask admins to borrow a safety vest & stop sign.
  3. Stay safe and have fun crossingthe kids!
  4. Return equipment after foot traffic dies down

Our children and Azevada families thank you for your time!

As we try to move online to collect Box Tops, we still have a large amount of physical box tops that need to be processed and mailed back to collect extra funds for the PTA. This project can be done from home at your own pace. This needs to be done every quarter, so let us know if you'd like to be the main contact! See this video for more information on how it's done.
